A Visa card is the payment method most Canadians reach for first, and every casino we review accepts one. What varies — and what almost no affiliate site tells you — is whether the money can come back the same way.
Five of the eight brands treat Visa as a two-way method: deposit with it, cash out to it. The other three, Speedz, Berriez and Flamez, accept card deposits only. Win at one of those and you will be paid through a different rail entirely. They also set a higher card minimum, C$20 rather than C$10.
That asymmetry is worth knowing before you deposit, not after you have a withdrawal request sitting in a queue. The table below sets it out brand by brand.
Visa is a card network rather than a bank. Your card is issued by a Canadian institution — RBC, TD, Scotiabank and so on — and Visa runs the rails that carry the transaction. That distinction matters at online casinos, because the decision to approve or decline a gambling transaction is made by your issuer, not by Visa and not by the casino.
Both credit and debit Visa cards are widely used for casino deposits. Visa Debit draws directly on your chequing account, which some players prefer because it keeps gambling spend off a credit line. Functionally the casino cashier treats them the same way.
A note on how these operators describe the method: Spinz and Wheelz name Visa and Mastercard explicitly on their Canadian payment pages. The other six list "credit and debit cards" without naming a scheme. We have tagged those six as Visa and Mastercard because that is what the phrase means in the Canadian market, but it is a normalisation on our part rather than something they publish.
Card deposits are the quickest method to set up — there is no bank login step and no wallet to fund first.
The table below is read from each operator’s own Canadian payment page. Where a brand publishes only “credit and debit cards” rather than naming the scheme, we have noted that in the text rather than inventing a limit.
| Casino | Visa deposit | Visa withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| Wildz | Yes — C$10 min | Yes — C$20 min |
| Caxino | Yes — C$10 min | Yes — C$20 min |
| Spinz | Yes — C$10 min | Yes — C$20 min |
| Wheelz | Yes — C$10 min | Yes — C$20 min |
| Beazt | Yes — C$10 min | Yes — C$20 min |
| Speedz | Yes — C$20 min | No |
| Berriez | Yes — C$20 min | No |
| Flamez | Yes — C$20 min | No |
The three deposit-only brands are all part of the same operator group, which is why their card handling is identical. If cashing out to a card matters to you, the five Rootz brands are the ones to look at.
Against Interac e-Transfer, the card’s weakness is the decline. Canadian issuers block offshore gambling merchants often enough that a failed deposit is a normal experience, and there is nothing the casino can do about it. Interac has no equivalent failure mode and works at all eight brands in both directions.
Against MiFinity, the card is simpler to start with but less flexible. MiFinity withdraws at all eight brands, including the three where cards do not — so if you play across the group, the wallet removes a real limitation.
Against Apple Pay, there is less between them than it looks: Apple Pay is usually a Visa or Mastercard underneath. The wallet adds tokenisation, so the casino never stores the real card number, and it drops the C$20 card minimum at the Ganadu brands to C$10.
Visa gets you into every casino on this list, which is why it remains the default for so many Canadian players. The catch is on the way out: only Wildz, Caxino, Spinz, Wheelz and Beazt return winnings to the card. Speedz, Berriez and Flamez take card deposits at a C$20 minimum and pay out by other means.
If you want one method that behaves the same everywhere, Interac is the more consistent choice.
At five of the eight casinos we review — Wildz, Caxino, Spinz, Wheelz and Beazt — yes, with a C$20 minimum. At Speedz, Berriez and Flamez, no: cards are deposit-only there, and payouts go through Interac, MiFinity or MuchBetter instead.
Almost always because your card issuer blocked it, not because the casino rejected it. Many Canadian banks decline transactions coded as gambling. Retrying repeatedly can flag the card — switching to Interac e-Transfer is the more reliable fix.
C$10 at Wildz, Caxino, Spinz, Wheelz and Beazt. C$20 at Speedz, Berriez and Flamez, which apply a higher minimum specifically to card deposits.
For most players, yes. Debit draws on money you already have, and it avoids the cash-advance fees and interest that some credit issuers apply to gambling transactions. The casino cashier handles both identically.
No. None of the eight operators adds a fee on card deposits. Any charge you see would come from your own issuer — typically a cash-advance fee on a credit card, or a foreign transaction fee.
