This policy explains what personal information Zeus Gamble collects when you use zeusgamble.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impenetrable, and it describes what this site actually does rather than what a template assumes.

Who we are

Zeus Gamble is an independent affiliate website publishing reviews and comparisons of online casinos available to players in Canada. We are not a gambling operator. We do not accept deposits, hold player funds, run games or process wagers. When you decide to open an account at a casino we review, you leave this site and that operator’s own privacy policy governs everything that happens next.

What we collect, and why

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (tag ID GT-PLFDCNDB) to understand how the site is used — which pages people read, how they arrived, roughly where in the world they are, and what device and browser they use. Google uses your IP address to estimate your approximate location, but Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we do not use analytics to identify individuals.

We use it to decide what to write and to find pages that are not working. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you enter your email address in the subscribe form, we store that address in order to send you the emails you asked for. We do not sell, rent or share subscriber lists. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Comments

If you leave a comment, we store the comment text, the name and email address you enter, your IP address and your browser user-agent string. The IP address and user-agent are used for spam detection. Your name and comment are visible publicly; your email address is not. To show a profile picture next to your comment, an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) is sent to Gravatar, a service operated by Automattic.

Contact form

If you contact us through a form on the site, we receive whatever you put in it — typically your name, email address and message — and use it only to reply.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs containing IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs and user-agent strings. These exist for security and troubleshooting.

Fonts

Some fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google Fonts does not set cookies.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, address, government identification, banking details, card numbers or casino account credentials. If a page on this site ever appears to ask you for any of those, do not enter them and please tell us.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses:

In Quebec, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in our cookie banner; elsewhere they are set by default and you can reject them. You can change your choice at any time in cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Analytics cookies are not necessary for the site to work, and blocking them will not stop you reading anything here. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting and a global privacy control signal.

Affiliate links and what happens when you click one

This is the part most privacy policies on affiliate sites leave vague, so here it is directly.

Zeus Gamble earns commission when a reader opens an account at a casino through one of our links. That is how the site is funded, and it is set out in full in our affiliate disclosure.

When you click a link to a casino, the operator or its affiliate network records that the visit came from us, usually through a tracking parameter in the URL and a cookie set on their domain. If you then register or deposit, they attribute it to us and pay a commission.

What we receive from that process is aggregate and commercial, not personal. We are told how many people signed up, not who they are. We do not receive your name, email address, deposits, losses, winnings or playing activity, and we have no access to your casino account.

Once you click through, you are on the operator’s site and their privacy policy applies. It will differ from this one, and it is worth reading, because they do collect identity and financial data.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with casino operators. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the site against attack or abuse.

Some of these providers are based outside Canada, including in the United States, so information may be processed in other countries with different data protection laws.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and under provincial legislation including Quebec’s Law 25, you can ask us to:

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR give you equivalent rights, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.

In Canada, if you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec to the Commission d’accès à l’information.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we keep the platform and its components updated. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise — but because we deliberately collect so little, there is very little here to lose.

Age

This site is intended for adults of legal gambling age — 19 or over in most Canadian provinces, and 18 or over in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under those ages. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
